Q&A

Qn: What can we do to empower youths today, coming from various backgrounds, madrasah/non-madrasah to become the agents of change when they themselves are caught in a viscious cycle of lack in emphasis of Islamic practices in their own families?

Ans: You have to do Da’wah, and it is important to do it collectively, to be in a Jama’ah (any
group or organizations eg. Muhammadiyah, Perdaus, Pergas etc), and empower one another. When you work alone, you tend to give up when faced with challenges. When you are committed to Da’wah work, your family will see the change in you, and inshaallah they will change too.

In Islam, there are Ukhuwwah & solidarity among the Believers.

The lowest level of Ukhuwwah: Inshirah Sudur (think good of other Believers)

And [there is a share for] those who came after them, saying, "Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and put not in our hearts [any] resentment toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful.";

and the highest is Ithaar (to put others first before yourself).
